I always do this now, ask for proof, I ask them to take a selfie whilst holding up a piece of paper with my name and the date.. all but one have strangely vanished, one even gave me a load of abuse.

On WhatsApp you could probably ask for a 30 second video call sometime.

I asked a model who contacted me asking for images after not hearing from her a year for a quick audio message.  Paranoid Moi???

This is why I try to always try to arrange things on here or the other site. It happens to models too, usually guys claiming to be photographesrs wanting free nudes and I am male, my wife has it worse. I really don't get anybody wanting to use insta or what's app for this kind of work. Far too many weirdos.

They are always upset when you ask them to prove who they are first. Now, I ask for a selfie shot sent to me, with their face, their ID and the front of today’s newspaper, all in the same photo. That request to them, is the quickest way to get rid of them.

Glad it's not just me......... I get random messages from 'models' for shoots . I ask if they're using a smart phone, yes. Then I ask if they send me a selfie with their finger touching their nose........ then they disappear. 

I had to buy a newspaper for my mum the other Saturday........ FOUR POUNDS !!! £4.00 for a paper . Wow last time I bought a Saturday paper it was a £1. No wonder people don't buy papers

It’s the Instagram messages in from models that I have previously worked with past, who only did swimwear back then, then disappeared for 3 years form all modelling, but now back with a new Instagram account, no new images posted, just old ones and asking for a full on sex shoot with me that are the most worrying. George Clooney, I ain’t. The finger touching the nose on a selfie, does sound like a good idea, I will have to use that ploy.

This number started to messaged me wanting to shoot, I asked for their insta or Fb as they are not on here but said they are private but will send me images, I did an image check and they was images of a model/actor in the US called Corrine, I called them out and they said no.. she sent me those for inspiration, they’ve now sent my images of someone else but no trace on them. Apparently lives in Salford. I’m going to suggest a video call so will keep you posted.

Personally if you think they’re fakes then I’d just ignore and report them.

Lonely people get a kick out of being in ‘the chase’ even if they suspect they’ll only be able to string you along for so long.
