Camelot Photography

Enjoyed a 2 hour shoot with Marie at York Photo Studio this afternoon. Pre-shoot comms started off well but they tailed off which was entirely down to a family situation I had which resulted in the shoot sort of creeping up on me.

Undeterred I set off for YPS confident that we would get some good images regardless of the lack of planning. Marie had told me that she intended to bring a wide range of outfits so I was sure there would be something that suited both of us.

Decided to concentrate on my take on 'fine art' which given my skill level is best described as 'on the road to fine art'.

We managed 3 looks in the 2 hour slot and I'm very happy with the images. As I remembered from my previous shoot with Marie, she's great to work with. Professional but chatty with it. Works amazingly well without much or any direction and delivers such good poses that it would be impossible not to walk away with some great images.

Hope we get the chance to shoot again and it's obviously a recommendation as well.

Quantum

Had a most enjoyable two hour shoot with Marie yesterday at York Photo Studio, this was my first shoot with her and hopefully not my last.

We shot with strobes first followed by natural outdoor lighting. I was impressed with the standard of Marie's clothing and makeup, everything was perfect.

This was the first shoot of the day, it started well and flowed smoothly throughout the two hours. Marie's posing was excellent, I was so impressed that I did not give direction, just a few hints.

Marie is very easy to work and chat with, I recommend her 100% to anybody who is looking for a quality model.

I was fortunate enough to have my first shoot with Marie and we had a competition blast. Marie was an absolute gem. She is simply a terrific model and a lovely person. She made me feel instantly comfortable and at home, we seemed to click instantly. I have even acquired two gorgeous new feline friends. I had arranged a little tour up north and we happened to start chatting and I feel so lucky to have been able to include her.

Her preshoot coms were great, we had a good idea of what we wanted to shoot. Her flat has some beautiful natural light spaces to shoot in and a fantastic wardrobe to select from. She has a fantastic range of precise poses, she is confident and needs no direction but is completely open to ideas and suggestions. Her make up was beautiful done and it is clear she takes great pride and passion in her work. we covered several sets and outfits and finished on art nude, she excelled at all beautifully.

Marie is very friendly and easy going, putting me at ease straight away, we had a lot of fun and laughs and I am thrilled with the lovely images we created together.

Absolutely recommended 1000%, thank yo for an amazing shoot Marie, I am looking forward to doing it again soon xx

We booked Marie for an advanced lighting workshop with Gary Hill at my studio in Cleckheaton. I’m pretty new to studio let alone setting up workshops!

From first contact Marie was amazing. She answered all the questions that I didn’t even know I needed to ask, so a massive help!

Marie helped out with the looks and styling too which was a god send!

Very patient with all the students and we learnt some great stuff.

Massively recommend Marie. I just wanted to worry about the lighting and Marie posed to suit every set up which was one less thing to have to worry about.

What an enjoyable shoot today with Marie. It was the first shoot indoors, with a model, since last year and Marie was ready at the agreed time.

We had a chat about ideas of what to shoot and where. Marie has so many costumes that I more or less ended up letting her choose what was best.

Once we started to shoot, Marie suggested the best places to stand for the light. That was helpful and she was correct in what she suggested. There was no problem moving bits of furniture around so long as we got the picture. Nothing was too much trouble.

We worked through a set of themes and looking at the results on the back of the camera, I am pleased with what I can see.

Marie is bubbly, likes to joke and can pose without guidance. I just worried a little bit when she said that she likes to stand in a corner!

She is a very professional, experienced and hard working model, able to change her look and pose style effortlessly. She is friendly, reliable and easy to work with. So good to catch up and shoot with Marie at the studio again after a gap of a couple of years.

Marie is pure quality from her pre-comms to outfit selection and even reviewing previous shoot output as part of her preparation. We had discussed a few ideas prior and were able to work through a number of sets to get most of it done. Shooting with her is always very productive as she requires a minimum of direction, posing effortlessly on "Click change" which is how I like to work. She clearly understood and put in to practice my ideas whilst contributing ideas of her own. Today I now have the difficult task of selecting work to take forward for editing. Marie did help me out though by selecting a number of BOC images which had particularly worked for her.

2nd Curtain Photography

Second time working with Marie & it was just as good as the last.

We did some studio work & then went for a stroll to do some location work. The light was a bit harsh for one of the sets I had planned, so we decided to go back to the studio to shoot another.

Marie is great company & also brought along some nutty milk for me to have in my coffee whilst we were having a break (I made the most of a couple of breaks) haha.

Its always fun to work with Marie & it was great to have a little catch up after this long lockdown.

Thoroughly enjoyed our shoot again & got some fab shots. I even did a demonstration & a couple of poses in some organza.......you can stop laughing now Marie :) :) :)

After working with Marie Jean several times, she's my go-to model when I want to push ideas about. Why? Because of her full commitment to delivering through her understanding of what I'm chasing. Our session went very well, partly because of good pre-shoot communication and because of her very spacious apartment that helps with setting up lights, developing camera angles etc. Her cat Charlie also helpful, determined to be in every shot - a testament to Marie's relaxed approach to working through the ideas. This was my third shoot with Marie and my second at her home location. Like our previous shoots it was an interesting, involving, enjoyable and productive day.
