So AI is now allowed on here?

My comment has been removed from a post where I point out that it’s blatant AI. Yet that AI image is still here.

Can we get very clear instructions on whether AI is allowed or not as that particular image is 100% AI. I use MidJourney as part of my creative role, I’m a Senior Graphic Designer / Studio Manager and over the past year we have embraced AI as have many other creative agencies.

The look of that image screams AI, that technology is amazing but it’s not yet unnoticeable.

Did you report the image?

I noticed your comment had been removed, alongside someone elses mentioning they have reported it. Hopefully admin can report back on their findings.

I agree it does look very AI to me. If it is, then it is a shame it's been given an FPI in place of a photograph.. unless the rules have changed.

Yes, as have others, but the fact it's been given an FPI makes worry about how many are tricked by this technology at such an early stage of its evolution.

The would I be right in assuming it's the black and white square shot of a woman looking down while in a dimly lit mansion style room, that clearly is so out of whack compared to the rest of the portfolio?

You should only report to admin , I know some others try comment on the image itself but really all required is admin. Also yes many people are tricked.

Already reported and no, the rules haven't changed as far as I'm aware.

I'm not sure which FPI post y'all are referring to, can somebody drop some clues so I don't have to go and try to comb through all the FPIs to see what you're talking about?

It certainly looks AI generated when compared to the rest of the portfolio. Perhaps admin are currently investigating it and so that's why comments are removed?

I think they ask for the original photo to be sent and then they can see if AI has just been used as an editing tool which I think is allowed, or there is no original image which shows the image was not a photo in the first place.

The poster will have deleted your comments. AI is not allowed on here so the image will be removed soon

It is definitely AI- Hive AI image moderator gives it 100% chance of being an AI generated image (and when I have any doubt - I don't with this one, I check the EXIF data - lots of giveaways in there that it is AI). Anyway, been reported, so no doubt Admin will deal with appropriately.

Fairly obvious, I think.

There have been quite a few AI generated FPIs recently, or is that FP-AIs? ;-)

Not really sure what the posters of such content have to gain by uploading them - surely a portfolio is designed to show off your skills to those who may wish to work with you, not advertise a false impression of your capabilities.

In my opinion, it's time for PurplePort to employ Hive AI or similar algorithm into the image upload process (or at the very least the FPI queue).  If images are flagged as a high probability that they were created using AI, then the mods need to ask for RAW files or EXIF data before they are given an award.

Perhaps it would also be useful for the site to request from the poster to disclose whether the image has been wholly or fully created using AI elements when it is being uploaded, which would then preclude it from being added to the queue.  I'd also quite to see a little note on the image info that says that it has been created use AI.

However the overwhelming responsibility needs to lay with the people doing the posting and having a sense of fair play.  If you know you're cheating, upload your AI creations to a place they are welcome, not on PP which asks you not to.

...and if the rules have changed that would be a shame too.

Bit embarrassing if it’s been awarded an FPI if that’s the case!

That looks like AI to me (skin texture, eyelash on the frame right, sleeve on frame right, and relative size of her hands), and it's nothing like anything else on the poster's portfolio. But AIorNOT says not. The only Exif data says it processed in snapseed.

I would guess that if it has had complaints, admin have done a check, because in the past they have kicked photos off which looked too AI like. It would also be strange if it got through the FPI process with none of the elves asking 'are we sure this isn't AI generated'

The standard of FPIs goes up and down. It looks like it's having a down at the moment.
