Welcome to The Hive!

We're a 24/7/365 creative hub located in the mother town of Stoke on Trent.   We have two large photo and video studios available to shoot in, plus an editing suite and kitchen/breakout area perfect for keeping yourself caffeinated and sharing images and video.

Whether you are an amateur or professional photographer, videographer, podcaster, model, performer or make-up artist, you can book The Hive for your very own shoot!  The studio areas are equipped with various stocked sets, paper backdrops and lighting equipment (both flash and LED continuous lighting for photo or video) and we've thought of all the helpful extras to help your shoot go smoothly.

Studio A is perfectly suited to performance, headshots, high key glamour or experimenting with artistic lighting.  It's a massive 14 metres long, 4 metres wide, 2.5m height to suspended ceiling, 4m to roof, and can be completely blacked out.  Black carpets/flooring and black draped walls make this studio a complete blank canvas for your creations.  It also features a paper backdrop system which can be stocked with up to 3 rolls of paper for quick changes and a multi-purpose brick detail set perfect for YouTube, podcasts or headshots - take a look at our Studio Updates album for more details.

Studio B has bags of natural light, a paper backdrop system, and also doubles as a rehearsal/dance space.  It has 5 large portable mirrors and a dressing/makeup station, plus a living room set complete with sofa and coffee table.  The sofa also folds flat into a single bed, complete with pillows and duvet to create a bedroom scene - the whole thing can be adjusted in less than 10 minutes giving two 'looks' for the price of one!  It's a spacious 9 metres long and 4 metres wide.
