It is quite a while since I asked for a Portfolio Review (2 years?), and I must admit I treat them with some trepidation (after all the whole point is to get constructive criticism, and my ego is a fragile as the next person!), but I genuinely welcome the feedback - I am striving to improve in every aspect of my work.
For this one, I am more than happy for general feedback, constructive criticism, and advice for improvement of both my work, and my portfolio, but I would especially welcome two very specific elements of feedback.
The first is what baggage should I get rid of in my main portfolio? While I have significantly reduced the number of images, focusing on things that I think are more representative of my style, are (a little) more diverse, and hopefully removed some of the images that are dragging the overall quality down, I still think I should remove another 20+ images to get down to the essence of what I am about. So I would very much appreciate your opinion of what I should dump because it is dragging the overall quality of the portfolio down. While I may disagree (for artistic, diversity, or intent reasons), I will very much take these views into account on my next cull.
The second one is possibly a bit cheeky - and is about my website (www.clempner.com). While this is not intended (yet) to be my professional business card, it is nonetheless more curated, more focused (and includes a section on one area of my non-people work), and when complete is intended to be the external shop window for work that has a more professional intent. Your views, suggestions for improvement, general comments on quality would be very welcome too.
Beyond that, any and all constructive crititism is welcome, and I will try not to take personally - but can't promise!
