Welcome to my profile.

I seem to get referred to now as G.P.L or GlossyPinkLipstick which is my pseudonym, It is easier and less tiresome to remain anonymous than to justify my art to the Mary Whitehouse brigade in my personal life. I am a dedicated and accomplished amateur using professional equipment and I Live in Harlow, Essex -. I am well prepared and I travel most of the time all over the Southeast, East Anglia, and Midlands for shoots. Please note that I don't use studios I spend money on fuel instead to shoot inside or out at yours or near you. Into collaboration shoots (Time For Pictures TFP) working with models as a team to deliver great imagery so happy to discuss any ideas you may have.

COMMUNICATION:

I use the template features in PP because that is what they were designed for and is accurate and saves time. Templaates are clear and accurate and informative but i undertsand the impersonal nature is not for all so thanks for reading if you find theses a problem. I use quick and clear communication as shooting time is precious. It means nothing is forgotton and i tell you everything that i think you need to know first message and dont forget anything. I will then use whats app to keep in touch. I dont wnat to date or stalk you i just want quick communication as email ping pong is hugely frustrating. Im happy to use email until the shoot is booked. You will see my response rate is always or almost always 100%.

SHOOT STYLES:

I am now looking to diversify and do beauty & fashion and high-speed sync photography so if you can get past the nudity I have done previously that's fab and If I contact you it's to shoot levels to yours or by negotiation. I would love to shoot what you want if you have ideas it makes a change for me not to have to come up with something with is fresh air so actually I welcome it. I do it all for free -you do it all for free-Simple and uncomplicated and I travel to you always as a rule unless we agree to shoot near me and you can travel instead. I have lighting for any type of shoot in or out and if agreed with me in advance ill bring it with me.

NEW MODELS and CONTACTING THEM:

I have guided and mentored many new models if this is new to you, Just a note. PP has an algorithm (software thingy working in the background), that stops models from getting bombarded with emails in the first two weeks but in my opinion, this does you a disservice. A new flower shop wouldnt stop cutomers calling the shop if they just opened in case they get overwhelmed. Handling enquiries is part of the gig, Handlling them in a professional way is a learned skill. Handling volume well means your successful. Keeping the doors shut makes people walk by. Add me to your Work with List WL and I can then message you within two weeks.

MY ETHOS:

Direct and honest approach and I try to be inspirational, influential, and nurturing to both models and photographers. I try to inspire anyone I work with to be the best that they can be regardless of what they look like or their level of experience. Everyone has great images inside them somewhere and my job is to find them."A flower does not compare itself to another flower- it simply blooms" I try and be the best I can be . . I like humor and sarcasm! not your thing then I am probably not for you! Looking to develop better images than the last time I shot and generate quality and improvement in everything I do.

CHAPERONES & EQUIPMENT:

If you need to have someone come along to a shoot as comfort, then I am ok with that and good! I have lots of stuff and they can help carry my crap. Maybe that's "modern slavery" but I'll risk it!. I have high-quality and high battery-powered flash and only need locations. I also have a continuous light for shallow depth of field (Fuzzy Backgrounds) and beauty shoots indoors. Crowns of flowers that I have made myself. I have 4 wedding dresses sizes 8/14/16. My bags are heavy and i have a car full of stuff to do the job whwatever it is.

ADDING ME TO YOUR WORK- WITH LIST:

Note if you add me to a work-with list and you truly want to shoot with me I will make it happen. Adding me with no contact otherwise is futile. Most of the people in my WWWL have never acctually contacted me or actually dont want to shoot with me if I contacted them. I always add you to a WWL and follow it up as soon as PP will let me based on its algorithm that blocks new messages. If you add me then i will move heaven an earth to make it happen if practical.

PAY & PAYMENTS

I am in it for the art and this is a journey and challenge, I am passionate about what I do, You won't find anyone more committed to a shoot once booked. I don't take the money and I only pay models when I cast for a workshop. Sending me your rates or lobbing in "I only work for rates at that level" wastes your time and mine. My profession prevents me from getting involved in any ambiguity around a second job so if money is not involved then that becomes irrelevant. I only pay when I do lighting workshops with models who are engaging already. I keep my TF agreements as it's my reputation. I won't let you leave a reference for me until the deal is done and you have your images.

REFERENCES:

I won't ask for a reference till the deal is done either. That's fair and reasonable. If I cast for a paid shoot I will always check to see if you responded or turned me down for any previous contact I might have made and only consider those that have engaged in conversation politely even if you turned me down before.

THIS YEAR'S THINGS TO SHOOT LIST

Urbex and abandoned fill-flash pool of light.

Dreadlocked model, naturally hairy in all depts.

MODEL TYPES:

My folio is not full of "conventional models" A model is someone that another person aspires to be like. That has no boundaries, Therefore size 6 and age 18 are not in the model job description for me! I have no issues or hang-ups with age, size, shape, or body image. I like to empower women to be natural and be role models and enable them to shoot great images for all so If you think your bits stick out don't dangle too much, or plain need adjusting, then I will use Photoshop a little. if you think your boobs sag Im good as long as you don't have to lift your skirt up to flash them! ( I have a sense of humor as well).

CANCELLATIONS:

I'm not sensitive or a diva so if you wish to cancel, SAY SO! If you changed your mind no drama and I much prefer the truth. I have heard too many "Grandparents in hospital" stories in my shooting lifetime i can spot a BS cancellation a mile off. Dont believe you have to lie to protect my feelings. Rejection on shoots and messges is like an audition and if you cant take it then you are in the wrong place. iI would prefer an early cancellation to allow me to move on rather than a late one. I would be excited to be shooting you and last minute disapointment is worse.

TRAVEL:

I always confirm on the morning of the shoot so If I don't hear from you on the day of the shoot directly on my phone by any contact method I will consider that for some reason the photoshoot won't be going ahead and won't travel. Bad Weather or train issues mainly. I am robust and generally communicate with you in that detail and I am unlikely to need to cancel. I will check parking arrangements and that my car is not at risk or parked where it really shouldnt be.

IMAGE DELIVERY & USAGE

I deliver images within a week, sometimes two, depending on my real life. I'm chilled generally. You can do what you want with them within reason. I will supply at least 10 normally more fully edited images from any shoot per hour of shooting. Longer the shoot more images produced. I generally let a model post first as I prefer you to get the exposure first .
