How do you begin?

First shoot today with Marie at her spacious, brilliantly equipped and well lit apartment. Didn't even scratch the surface of the what is possible there!

Marie is a dream to work with. She is incredibly striking in front of the camera with a stunning figure that works well in all genres. She slips from pose to pose with ease and makes excellent use of her facial expressions to compliment each shot. She has natural poise and grace that brings an elegant quality to her work. And, Marie is warm, chatty and friendly making the shoot an even more wonderful experience.

A huge recommendation of a awesome, professional model who can only add to your portfolio, no matter what the brief.

Another shoot with Marie Jean, we have both lost track of how many there have been, but every one of them has delivered great images, and this was no exception, the shoot was based around a Morticia Addams theme, and as usual Marie’s styling was spot on. We also shot three other looks and there are great images from each one.

Marie was recovering Fromm covid (yes she was well past the positive test stage) and possibly shouldn’t have done the shoo5, but as a professional she did not want to let anyone down. She soldiered through and from the images you wouldn't know she was struggling.

A great shoot with a great model, definitely recommended.

Marie and I have shot a number of times and they are always enjoyable, fun and productive. This was a Morticia Adams inspired studio day and having suggested the idea (turns out it was already in her thoughts) it would have been churlish of me not to make the lengthy journey to Crossroads.

As always comms before, during and after were easy. We shot 3 looks and 2 lighting set-ups and I got more than 1 keeper from each of the combinations. That equates to success in my book.

MJ was recovering from Covid and should really have cancelled but like the consummate professional she is, she didn’t and that was a great benefit to me and the 2nd tog who booked after me.

MJ is a lovely model but more importantly a lovely person and we are already discussing a little project which may take more than 1 shoot next year.

Its always a treat to be in the studio with Marie. This was our fourth shoot together and as always it was fun and not too serious. She was as awesome as ever, that's why I keep working with her. Every shoot has been different and Marie is supremely able to rise to the occasion – doing her best.

Its so easy. Just pick up the camera and let her do her thing, something deeply good follows. So I shall be working with this splendid model again soon I hope.

Cheeky Monkey1

I had the pleasure of working with Marie Jean Saxton for the first time on a 1-2-1 at the Monkey Sanctuary in Darwen. Pre shoot comms were perfect and MJ arrived as planned keeping me updated regularly on travel progress. MJ was very well prepared with a super selection of outfits that fitted both her look and style and our pre shoot discussions perfectly.

MJ is genuinely a lovely person with so much talent, creativeness, and passion about her craft, she is clearly dedicated to leaving a legacy and putting something back into the industry drawing on her wealth of knowledge and experience to help and support new talent entering the industry. Throughout the shoot MJ was full of ‘can do’ positive energy, putting 110% effort into every shot, MJ not only poses effortlessly but she has an amazing eye for the fine details ensuring she brings any concept to life with an amazing Wow factor.

The Monkey Sanctuary

We were lucky enough to have the lovely Marie Jean Saxton visit us at The Monkey Sanctuary to do an extensive 1-2-1 session. Pre visit communication were perfect and on the day, MJ arrived as planned with an outstanding selection of outfits that fitted the intended theme and her posing style perfectly.

MJ is genuinely a lovely person with so much talent, creativeness, enthusiasm, and passion about her craft. Throughout the shoot MJ was full of positive energy putting 110% effort into every shot, MJ not only poses effortlessly but she has an amazing eye for the fine details ensuring she brings any concept to life with an amazing Wow factor.

Third or possibly, fourth shoot with Marie - and it ain’t going to be last. Marie is one of those models you can shoot with, without much of a plan - just a few ideas, and you know you will end up with something very decent. This was the case, and am looking forward to seeing the results when I get around to having a good look at them. Two hours well spent, and fun. Obviously, the number of references speak for themselves, but anyway…………very highly recommended and until the next time…………

Another fun shoot with Marie-Jean - this time a group event put on by her new venture with David Linford - Visionary Events. MJ was her usual self - full of fun and lots of great ideas - in spite of the somewhat trying conditions - it was the hottest day of the year with very harsh sunlight. Nevertheless MJ found some great locations to display the wonderful range of gowns she had brought with her and created some excellent images for herself and our other stunning model Miss Kimberley. I was completely knackered by the time I got home - not sure if it was the heat - or spending the day with Marie-Jean!!

Marie-Jean and I have been plagued with train strikes messing up bookings ( generally at the last minute) for the last couple of years or so and when I saw her Visionary Shoot at Burton Constable Hall shooting together with Miss Kimberley it was too good an opportunity to miss, NO TRAINS involved!

This was shoot number 12 with Marie-Jean ( that speaks volumes I reckon ) and every bit as good as as the previous 11.

What a day it was! probably the hottest day of the year and both Marie-Jean and Kimberley worked completely professionally in a range of spectacular gowns without any grumbles about the temperature.

We were treated to a range of locations within the Halls grounds and lots of shade was found which helped the heat situation.

I now look forward to shooting with Marie-Jean again next weekend for shoot 13 !

Had a second fantastic shoot with Marie recently in an awesome apartment I had rented in Leeds.

Marie is super talented and is amazing to work with. Pre-shoot comms were excellent and she had with her a nice selection of clothing and high end lingerie that complimented my own styling.

We got through several sets during the shoot and worked together to get images we are both really happy with. As well as shooting in the apartment we also managed have a stroll around the city centre to shoot some street fashion.Marie is totally professional, down to earth,and a joy to work with . She has a great look, confident, poses naturally without direction,but also responded to direction perfectly.

Marie-Jean is my favourite model / collaborator for any shoot requiring ideas to be explored and for her ability to morph herself as required. Always refreshing to work with because of her openness to dialogue before, during and after the shoot. Shot in her home studio, I was encouraged to throw all my usual approaches to the wind. Very much an improvised session sharing ideas and different approaches to studio work. I love working with MJ for her professionalism and commitment!

Great to catch up with Marie on Saturday shooting at her home studio space for a change. I had offered up some vague ideas and suggestions which Marie took on board and added her own style. We shot in natural light at various spots around her home and it was good to shoot some different styles. When I was booked alongside Marie for the Bodypaint and Fashion event hosted by Aura Photographic Studios I was very excited! I have long admired Maries work so it was great to finally have the chance to meet and work with her.

Working with Marie was like meeting a friend I just hadn't seen in a long time; she is super friendly, laid back and just had a great positive energy about her. It made it so easy to work alongside her and we naturally fitted together like a quirky modelly jigsaw of poses! You'd of thought we had worked together previously, not this being our first time working together!

It would be safe to say that I was not disappointed upon meeting and working with Marie! She is super hardworking, poses like a ninja, great expression range, fabulous garments ... and I could go on and on ... but you get the idea aha

I really enjoyed our duo, and can't wait for future opportunities to work together with Marie.

This was my first shoot with Marie Jean in some time, but it was like meeting up with an old friend, we have shot together many times over the past few years, but this was my first time at her home/ studio. The first bit of vital information is that she provides proper Yorkshire tea, shooting her at home gives loads of options, we strayed with a wet set using her shower, then worked through several changes of lingerie and looks and through lounge, kitchen and bedroom, and even the kitchen is light, airy and photogenic. Marie has a great selection of both continuous and flask lighting, and even has paper back drops.

As always the experience of working with Marie Jean was very good. She is always full of enthusiasm, ideas and apparently boundless energy. And she always manages to match her posing and looks to match what I am aiming for, even if my ideas seem vague.

If you want to work with a top notch, hard working and fun model, Marie Jean is the one you should be booking. Highly recommended.

Our diaries don’t coincide very often - but I always take the opportunity to shoot with Marie when I can. This was our third, this time in the splendid Boardroom Studio in Derby. As usual Marie was highly professional, talented and funny. She knows the style of shot I like and posed accordingly - she also has an excellent sense of colour and style. A great couple of hours and I’m looking forward to seeing the images on screen - there are plenty of ‘keepers’. Obviously, highly recommended. Until the next time………….

I have worked with Marie Jean on a number of occasions, and this time she modelled Fashion Dresses, whilst Eva Seraph was being full body painted by Emily Ellis for an all day event at Aura Studio.

Marie Jean wore some beautiful dresses and gowns - my favourite was a black sequinned dress - and as always her make-up and hair were to the highest standard.

Despite being the first time she had worked with Eva, they moved in unison to produce some amazing poses of their own, whilst complementing the creative director's (Emily Ellis) theme.

Marie Jean's wonderful humour and willingness lasted the course all day, and I thoroughly enjoyed working with her again, and recommend her 100% to any photographer.

Had my first shoot with Marie on a Tabatha event at the Scarborough fair collection.

Marie has been on my list to work with for some time now and can not believe I have not got around to booking this lovely young lady.

Very professional on the day but also layed back and very chatty and easy to get on with. Proper Yorkshire lass as we would say.

Had time to have a quick chat on a very busy day and she told me all about her home studio which sounded brilliant and was backed up by another photographer.

It's so very difficult to write anything about Marie that hasn't been said many times before. I consider myself very fortunate to have known Marie for a number of years and can now call her a very good friend.

She has a wicked sense of humour and is chatty (and then some 😂) which puts all photographers at ease.

Shooting with Marie is so easy. She has the ability to move from one pose to another, effortlessly, and works without direction. She will however take direction if you are looking for a definite pose or look.

Marie is more than happy to work with those of us who are just starting out and will help you through the shoot.

Of course for the more experienced Marie will work tirelessly to provide you with the images you want.

Marie is definitely a model who is at the peak of her trade.

I can't recommend highly enough that you book with Marie when you get the chance.

Keep an eye out for her events and when you see one get booked on it straight away as it will fill very very quickly.
